Rockin’ High at the Everest

Finnish Rap artist Signmark along with Finnish rock band Ancara are all set to perform the world’s highest rock concert—Rockin’ High.
After working together for a charity event in Helsinki, Signmark and Ancara have been working in collaboration for the project since August 2015. The concert is scheduled to be held at the Mt Everest Basecamp, and it will be broadcasted online throughout the world.
There is also a documentary in the making of the group’s journey from the early planning to the top of the mountain and will be released in 2016 with the title Rockin’ High.
After the devastating earthquake of April 25, the project found a new purpose, and besides attempting to set a new world record, they also aim to raise funds for disabled children in Kathmandu.
Ancara is a Finnish hard rock band which has released three studio albums. The band consists of five members: Sammy Salminen, Juha ‘Juice’ Wahlsten, Tuomas ‘Gary’ Keskinen, Toni Hintikk and Rale Tiiainen. Another artist to perform at the concert, Signmark, a deaf rap artist, released the world’s first sign language hip-hop DVD in 2006 and has three studio albums to his credit.
